
Luminol was utilized at the crime scenes and the presence of hemoglobin was detected using a UV light resulting in the emission of a blue luminescence.

Presumptive tests for blood
Administered the Kastle-Meyer (KM) Test using three reagents (ethanol, KM reagent, and hydrogen peroxide) were applied to the suspected blood samples stains and a pink color change occurred within seconds.
SAMPLE A: TESTED - This blood sample doesn't have an A or B marker, and it doesn't have an Rh factor.

SAMPLE B: TESTED -This blood sample has all three types of markers — A, B, and Rh factor.

SAMPLE C: TESTED -This blood sample doesn't have an A or B markers, and it doesn't have an Rh factor.

The Phadebas® Amylase Test administered on samples provided by M/Efrom both victims as routine practice and results are as follows:
VICTIM #1 at Primary Crime Scene TESTED: POSITIVE for a-amylase.
VICTIM #2 at Secondary Crime Scene TESTED: POSITIVE for a-amylase.
Samples collected at the scene in the form of epithelial skin cells submitted for DNA analysis.
